 Accessibility  Statement

Commitment

OpenLivestock.com is committed to making our website and member portal accessible and usable for as many people as possible, including disabled users.

Standards and approach

  • We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.

  • We use clear headings, meaningful link text, high-contrast colour palettes, keyboard-accessible navigation and form labels.

  • Videos and live Zoom events: we will provide guidance for using Zoom accessibility features and can supply captions/transcripts on request where feasible.

What we are doing

  • Ongoing audits of templates and key user flows (registration, listings, auction registration).

  • Testing with keyboard-only navigation and common screen readers.

  • Monitoring feedback channels and fixing issues based on impact and usage.

Known limitations

  • Embedded third-party components (e.g. Zoom registration pages or video players) may not fully meet our design standards.

  • User-generated content (seller images or documents) may not always be accessible. We encourage sellers to provide clear, well-labelled content.

Requesting information in an accessible format

If you need information in a different format (accessible PDF, large print, easy read, audio recording) or need reasonable adjustments to participate in a live auction, please contact us at office@openlivestock.com We will consider your request and respond within 10 working days.

Reporting accessibility problems

If you find any accessibility issues not listed here, please contact admin@livestocktraders.co.uk. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) for advice.
